Curation: Beyond the Buzzword – Resources shared at #ASTDTK13

At the 2013 ASTD TechKnowledge conference, I am conducting a concurrent session entitled Curation: Beyond the Buzzword. The session is taking place twice on Friday February 1st at 9:45am, so if you’re attending the conference, please feel free to attend.

CurtionHere’s a description of the session:

“Curation” is a term that is becoming more and more common in the learning industry. Unfortunately, many learning professionals do not understand what it is, let alone how to leverage it for their organizations. And yet it is a critical future competency for those in the field.During this session we will define curation, including the various types and levels of curation that exists (including aggregation, filtering, elevation, mash or match-ups, and timelines). We will share examples of each to demonstrate the value that curation adds to learning programs, as well as techniques that will help you use it in your own organization.

This blog post is being set up a follow-up resource for those that attend one of our sessions. It may also serve as a resource for anyone that wants to learn more about how to use Twitter.
