Headed to TechKnowledge? Let’s Connect. #ATDTK

Capture

Over the next few days I’ll be attending and speaking at the ATD TechKnowledge Conference in Las Vegas. I’ll also be curating the backchannel and posting resources on my blog. If you’re going to be in Vegas, here’s where you can find me.

Wednesday

Wednesday is the one day that I’m not speaking at the conference, so it’s probably the best day to schedule time with me if you’d like to connect. I don’t arrive in Vegas until Wednesday afternoon, but will be around and about the conference center the second half of the day.

Thursday

I start my Thursday with a few meetings I’ve already set up and then have two sessions that I’m speaking at during the day.

TK Chat – Building Community (11am in the Augustus room)

This is a late addition to my schedule. TK Chats are informal discussions around a topic. I’m excited to have been invited to explore the topic of Building Community with Mark Britz, JD Dillon, and Dan Steer. Feel free to join us and be a part of the conversation.

Twitter 101 for the Learning Professional (3:30 in Neapolitan III)

In this hands-on creation station, we’ll explore the power of Twitter for learning and performance professionals. We’ll start with the basics and dive right into putting Twitter into action. If you’ve been on the fence about using Twitter or just want to learn how to use it better, this session is for you.

Friday

Building a Learning Strategy From an Ecosystem of Resources (8am in Milano VIII & VIII)

Friday kicks off with a session I’m really looking forward to facilitating. Traditional training strategies have fallen behind the advancements of workplace learning and performance. Our strategies need to evolve to encompass the full spectrum of ways in which individuals learn and receive support in their work. But to do that we have to change our mindset and the way we look at our work. This session will explore the Learning and Performance Ecosystem, and how organizational strategy is forever changed by it’s expanded scope.

After the closing keynote my mind shifts immediately to the Fall, as I’ll be walking across the street to the MGM Grand to do a site visit and start planning DevLearn 2015, taking place September 30 to October 2nd.

See you in Vegas

I look forward to connecting with many of the familiar faces I see online throughout the year, and meeting new people as well. If you’d like to schedule some specific time to chat, send me an email.
