The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same – Resources Shared at @MASS_ISPI

ISPI-MASS-1000On September 8th, I had the pleasure of speaking at the International Society for Performance Improvement’s Massachusetts Chapter. I led a discussion titled The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same… Or Not!. Here’s a description of the session:

Technology is advancing at an ever-increasing rate. New technologies are introduced to organizations almost every day, including many used to support learning and performance. In the last decade, learning professionals have needed to incorporate many new technologies into their learning strategy, including simulations, virtual classrooms, mobile learning, and more. Keeping pace with these new technologies, deciding which ones to implement, and balancing new tools with existing technologies is a growing challenge. Training professionals need to understand how learning technologies are evolving and how future technologies will impact and benefit their organizations.

Change is a constant in our lives, but the changes impacting learning and performance today will change the way we look at our work in the future. Join us for a discussion exploring the future of learning technology, and learn about the opportunities (and risks) that professionals will need to factor into their design, development, and training strategy in the near future.

This blog post is being set up primarily as a follow-up resource for those that attended the session, and it may also serve as a resource for anyone that wants to learn more about the technology trends that are shaping the future of learning.
